The regional Civil Protection has issued a warning of hydrogeological and hydraulic criticality for storms valid for tomorrow, 5 January 2026. In particular, a yellow level alert has been issued for zones 6 and 7 of Calabria (the Ionian band which concerns the province of Catanzaro, the province of Crotone and the lower Cosentino), while the green level remains in the remaining areas.
For today, January 4th, no significant critical issues are expected across the entire regional territory. The yellow alert signals the possibility of locally intense phenomena, with potential inconveniences linked to rain and thunderstorms. Caution and attention are recommended when traveling, especially in the areas affected by the alert.
