When do Citizens’ Income and Pension pay in July 2023? Consult INSTRUCTIONS and GUIDE.

When will the Citizenship Income (DRC) and Citizenship Pension be paid in May?

  1. For new beneficiaries or those who renew the RdC application: The first top-up is expected to be credited in the first half of June 2023, generally between the 14th and 16th of the month. This means that those who are just starting to receive the ROC or have renewed their application may see the money in their account during this time.
  2. For all other RdC beneficiaries: The first top-up of 2023 should take place starting June 27provided that they have promptly renewed their ISEE form (Indicator of the Equivalent Economic Situation) for the year 2023. The ISEE form is a document that certifies the economic situation of a family unit and is used to determine access to certain services social in Italy.

The top-up amount, barring significant changes, should remain the same as that received in previous months. This means that the amount of money ROC beneficiaries will receive should not change unless there are significant changes to policies or individual circumstances.

  • * ATTENTION – The ISEE must be updated to the reference year therefore, if you want to continue receiving the DRC, ask for the new ISEE as soon as possible..

Reform of Citizenship Income

Pending an organic reform of the measures to support poverty and active inclusion, das of 1 January 2023 as of 31 December 2023, the measure of basic income is recognized within the maximum limit of 7 months. This with the exception of families in which there are people with disabilities, minors or people who are at least sixty years of age. Starting from 1 January 2023, the beneficiaries must be included, for a period of six months, in a training or professional retraining course.

In the event of non-attendance of the assigned program, the family unit of the beneficiary of the basic income loses the right to the benefit. The regions are required to send ANPAL the lists of subjects who do not comply with the attendance requirement.

Starting from 1 January 2023, for the beneficiaries of the basic income belonging to the age group between 18 and 29 who have not fulfilled the education obligation, the provision of the basic income is also subject to enrollment and the attendance of first level adult education courses, or in any case functional to the fulfillment of the aforesaid education obligation.

With a specific protocol, stipulated by the Ministry of Education and Merit and by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies, actions are identified aimed at facilitating enrollment in the educational courses provided by the provincial centers for adult education and, in any case, for the effective implementation of the provisions. The income benefit also expires if the first job offer is refused. In addition, the rent portion of the check will be paid directly to the landlords.

The basic income will be repealed on January 1, 2024 and, with a view to an organic reform of the measures to support poverty and active inclusion, the cost savings due to the repeal will be paid into the “Fund for supporting poverty and active inclusion”, established in the state forecast by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies, from 2024.
