Wimbledon, between Musetti and history there is the American Fritz: Zverev beaten in comeback

Taylor Fritz’s Big Shot in the Round of 16 of the Men’s Singles at Wimbledonthird Grand Slam event of the season, on the grass of the All England Club in London. The American therefore reaches the quarterfinals, where he will challenge the Italian Lorenzo Musetti. Fritz, number 12 in the world and thirteenth seed, beat Alexander Zverev, number 4 in the ATP ranking and in the draw, in a comeback, with a score of 4-6 6-7 (4) 6-4 7-6 (3) 6-3. The German, not in the best physical condition, played with a visible bandage on his left knee, due to the fall and the problems suffered on Saturday in the match against Cameron Norrie. In the previous matches against Musetti, the American leads 2-1. Fritz won on the grass of Wimbledon in 2022 in three sets and then, again two years ago, on the indoor cement at the Davis Cup Finals in two sets. This year, finally, on the clay of Monte Carlo the Italian won with a double 6-4.
