The lawyer Salvatore Staiano he sent a note to Ansa on the “express mandate” of the lady Anna Scaturchioowner of the perfumery «Il Profumo Rivalda 1989», located in Soverato, at the centre of controversy for having displayed a fake cocaine sniffing kit in the window.

«The story – says the lawyer Staiano – is well known and we could define it ‘the (non-existent) cocaine kit’. A photo constituting a clumsy extrapolation of a fragment of the window of the indicated perfumeryso much fomenting unacceptable censorship. In truth, the setup was evidently functional to advertising a niche product, sold by the aforementioned perfumery. However, Mrs. Scaturchio had intentionally cordoned off the area with yellow tape, clearly indicating that it was a ‘crime scene’: so that, through unmistakable visual signs, it was essentially intended to affirm ‘don’t take drugs, but let yourselves be intoxicated by my perfumes’.

«Moreover, the owner – the lawyer continues – having learned that the Calabrese Solidarity Centre and the Unicef Calabria Committee had raised plausible objections, but probably caused by the viewing of a decontextualised section of the shop window, which was indeed a harbinger of erroneous interpretations, promptly removed the installationconsidering the aforementioned ‘institutions’ commendable and therefore to be supported. And this even where, as in the case in question, there is no ambiguity, nor the possibility of its occurrence».
