Unfortunately, the woman involved in the latest accident on the Ionian state road has died. Francesca Stornello, 53 years old, from Scicli in the province of Ragusa, passed away in the comprehensive resuscitation unit of the Annunziata hospital in Cosenza where she had been transported by air ambulance in very serious conditions. The Camici Bruzi were unable to do anything, despite many attempts, to save her life. The damage, reportedly head and thoracic trauma, suffered by the woman in the terrible accident was fatal. The 53-year-old, who is also highly esteemed and well-known in Sicily, was traveling with her husband, a well-known entrepreneur from Scicli, and their three children, aboard a white Audi Q5, and was returning to Sicily after spending a relaxing weekend away from home. In the Upper Ionian area of Cosenza the collision between three cars, an Audi Q3, a Skoda and an Opel which also caused the injury of seven other people.
The accident occurred between the territories of Villapiana and Trebisacce in the stretch where the tutor also insists.
