The Ministry of the University and Research has challenged the new Statute of the University for Foreigners “Dante Alighieri” in front of the TAR (SCANCE section of Reggio Calabria) asking the administrative judges to declare its nullity and as a precaution to suspend its effects before the decision on the merits. The State Attorney filed a full -bodied appeal (43 pages) in which he complains that “the rectal decree no. 1 of 16 December 2024 and the statute adopted with it are illegitimate as they prominent by bodies not legitimized to their adoption “. Already last January, the Mur had clarified that the University Statute published in the Gazzetta had no effect because on the approval of this act the control power prescribed by the law on the Ministry had not been exhausted, which therefore requested the ‘Cancellation of the statutory changes, underlining the illegitimate nature of all the documents signed later.
Storm winds blow very strongly on the university for foreigners. Clearly the appeal of the Ministry against the modification of the statute of the “Dante Alighieri” was accepted with satisfaction by the mayor Giuseppe Falcomatà who had promoted the reorganization of the consortium that supports the University for foreigners. “After the meetings with Minister Bernini – comments Falcomatà -, the Ministry of University and Research also understood the need to block the illegitimate acts that have been adopted in recent months. It is a positive sign, which goes in the direction desired by us, intervening on the line that we have always carried out and which aims to restore the University a stable and legitimate governance ».
