The lights on the last city council diedonce again neither on the agenda nor in the usual communications of the Mayor, clarifications were provided on the serious affair that involved the majority councilor Luciano Mangione.
The sad story of the offensive and threatening message sent to a chat of merchants deserves a clear, immediate and, above all, credible response. And to date, this response has completely missed.
The opposition councilors remarked in a joint note: “The civic assembly, as the highest representative organ of the city – highlight – has the duty to clarify what happened. It is categorical imperative to know who the author of that shameful message is, if the director Luciano Mangione really is the author, or if, using his phone, it was the mayor Simona Scarcella to send it. The hypotheses must be disseminated without delay, since the community has the right to know the truth about an episode that has stained the reputation of the Council itself and its members. The violent and intimidating attack on a merchant, who had dared to express a legitimate criticism within a service chat – continue the directors – is not only unacceptable, but also intolerable for anyone who plays a public role.
