At the Santa Margherita Institute of Messina this year the final exams have become an experience of experimentation and growth, in the sign of innovation and creativity. The students of the third classes distinguished themselves for the originality of the paths presented, demonstrating a surprising ability to connect knowledge, personal passions and digital skills.

Among the most innovative projects, those built from original e-books stand out, made with the use of artificial intelligence and the tools envisaged by the guidelines for digital citizenship. The topics addressed were manifold and profound: the sea as a travel metaphor, knowledge and freedom; The dream as a space for imagination and hope; the masks, symbol of identity and its transformations; freedom, declined in a historical, personal and digital key; And even comics, used as a language to tell stories, emotions and rights.

Thanks to the integration of digital tools and narrative creativity, the boys have created unique works, which unite images, sounds, texts and personal reflections. Artificial intelligence has been used not only to generate images and suggest writing ideas, but also as an object of critical analysis, with a view to digital awareness.

Alongside these original works, other classes have chosen to start from the novels read during the year, from significant films, or from handmade artifacts, building multidisciplinary paths capable of combining history, art, sciences and topicality. Some have explored resistance and civil rights, others have reflected on the man-natural relationship or on the use of social networks in contemporary society.

“Our students have shown that the school can be a living place, where you learn to think, to create and communicate. The examination of this year are the result of a collective work, full of passion and awareness”, commented the school manager Fulvia Ferlito.

Santa Margherita is thus confirmed as an avant -garde institute, where new technologies are not an end in themselves, but become tools for personal, expressive and civic growth. A concrete example of how school can accompany young people in the construction of a conscious, free and authentic future.
