2025 is confirmed as a year of extraordinary growth for Calabrian airports, which strengthen their role as strategic hubs for southern Italy. With over 2 million passengers transited in the first six months of the year (+29.3% compared to the same period of 2024), the milestone of 4 million by December appears more and more concrete.
This result, the best ever for the Calabrian airport system in a semester, is the result of an articulated strategy that has focused on a significant expansion of international routes, on the optimization of the domestic offer and on an important program of infrastructure investments envisaged on all stopovers, Crotone, Reggio Calabria, Lamezia Terme. Growth has homogeneously involved all three regional stopovers, confirming the solidity of the development plan started by Sacal.

Lamezia Terme It is confirmed as the first regional stopover and a reference point for international traffic, with an important growth of routes to France, Spain, Poland, the Czech Republic and Romania.
Reggio Calabria marks the highest growth, with an increase of 113.9% in the semester, thanks to the expansion of domestic routes and a consolidation of international ones, while Crotone It continues its growth path with solid numbers together with the reopening of international connectivity and a renewed interest from operators.
