Fear in the afternoon of today for two technicians of the gas network, engaged in a control activity on the naturalist in the territory of Lamezia Terme. The two men, coming from the Lazio region, were stuck with their vehicle in an impervious area of the San Mazzeo area, inside a wooded area.
According to a first reconstruction, the technicians followed the indications of the satellite navigator, taking a dirt road that enters the mountain paths. After traveling a significant stretch, they would find themselves disoriented and in difficulty, with the vehicle finished near a escarpment.
I realized the impossibility of continuing, the two men alerted the unique number for emergencies 112. The call was immediately taken over by the operating room of the Fire Brigade of the Provincial Command of Catanzaro, who activated a rescue team from the detachment of Lamezia Terme.
Thanks to the geolocation provided by the emergency system, the firefighters managed to locate the unfortunate. After reaching the area on foot, along rough strokes between the vegetation, the rescuers secured the vehicle and avoided the risk of further complications.
