It was presented at the Urban Center of the Municipality of Reggio Calabria, thePartnership agreement relating to the territorial strategy of programming 21/27which will concern an imposing urban and social redevelopment project of the Gallico district, strongly desired by the mayor Giuseppe Falcomatà and by the commissioner Carmelo Romeoand to the participatory presence of councils and associations of the territory of the northern area of the city.
They were also present, the commissioner Filippo Burronethe president of the city council Enzo Marra, the city councilors Giuseppe Giordano – which followed the project presented to the stakeholders who intervened yesterday – Franco Barreca, Maria Ranieri and Massimiliano Merenda. The President of the Chamber of Commerce also intervened Ninni Tramontana.
To open the works was the architect Patrizia De Stefano which explained the lines of intervention on which the project will rest, whose Road Map was illustrated by the commissioner Carmelo Romeo, who holds, among others, the delegations to the programming and remodeling of Community resources: “A clear political address that came from the mayor, that is, to redevelop the sea front of the Gallic district to enhance our coast in line with the strategy put in the field of this administration in the administration. of the suburbs and views of the sea, as it was for Catona, for the South linear park and for the wind park.
It is a loan of over 5 million euros, of which 2.8 are provided for the redevelopment of the Gallic promenade, 2 For the urban and social regeneration of the Marinaro village and 600 thousand euros for interventions in support of the small and medium -sized enterprises of the entire northern area of the city.
The mayor Falcomatà defined the partnership project, the maximum expression of direct democracy, because it allows the construction of a vision of development of our territories through shared paths and which mature thanks to a constant confrontation with the citizens: “With the certainty of the funding it is possible to reason in terms of the quality of the programming, precisely to better express the vocation of our neighborhoods and our villages, thanks to the intuitions and the suggestions of those lived and defended them.
