On Friday 18 July 2025, at 10:00, it took place in the registered office in via Conti Falluc n. 60, The meeting of the Board of Directors of Arci Catanzaro, convened to face a point of particular importance for the life of the association.
During the meeting, Territorial president Rosario Bressi has communicated his resignation, A choice motivated by the need to concentrate with greater dedication on the multiple commitments that see him involved at the local, regional and national level. Bressi currently holds the position of national manager for active aging of Arci, is a national manager and is part of the regional presidency office, testifying to his growing role and commitment in the association.
Following the resignation, the Board of Directors discussed the methods of continuing the association activity in the area. The appointment of Diana Costanzo was therefore proposed as the new territorial president of Arci Catanzaro, which boasts a large and consolidated experience in the associative world and digital facilitation. Currently, he is responsible and contact person of the project of digital facilitation and administrative manager of the Refuge Club. His commitment is also recognized at a managerial level, being a member of the Arcs Board of Directors since 2022, member of the Regional Board of Directors ARCI CALABRIA, National Councilor of Arci and member of the CSV CALABRIA CENTRO Board of Directors.
The proposal obtained the unanimous support of the directors Benedetta Cannistrà, Egidio Bagnato, Vittorio Alfieri, Antonio Raimondo, Giuseppe Apostolites and Piero Procopio, who have highlighted how Diana Costanzo has long been a fundamental point of reference for local associations, distinguishing themselves for commitment, reliability and concrete availability.
With this new phase, Arci Catanzaro confirms its commitment to the promotion of participation, culture, social inclusion and rights, values that have always inspired the action of the association.
Bressi: Arci always in the heart but in a different role and role
Leaving the presidency of Arci Catanzaro was not easy at all. Today, after four intense years, the last words of a path that has given me a lot, too perhaps, and that in my heart will remain forever. The time has come to turn the page, to leave a role that made me grow, excite, suffer and rejoice as perhaps I would never have imagined.
Four years of strong emotions, of challenges and shared victories with companions and companions who have become a real family. In moments of joy and great enthusiasm, as well as in the darkest and most difficult moments, the support of the people of Arci and, in particular, of Arci Catanzaro, gave me strength and hope. Your presence, your affection, your commitment have been the lighthouse in the most stormy days, my anchor of salvation.
Being a president of Arci Catanzaro was an immense honor, a privilege that I bring to the heart like the most precious gift. These four years have been a journey of personal and collective growth, a path made of dreams, sweat, solidarity and passion. I never gave up, even when everything seemed to crumble and my heart bleed, because every sacrifice, every moment of effort, was an act of love for this great family that is Arci.
Now, however, I feel that the time has come to take a step back, to put the commitment that I still want to dedicate to the arms at the center, but in a different guise. The responsibilities I today hold on the National Council, in the Commission fight against inequalities, in the role of national manager for “active aging” and in the Presidency office of Arci Calabria, are commitments that require all my heart and my dedication. I can no longer divide myself between these and my role as a territorial president, which deserves exclusive and total attention.
I am sure that those who take my place will continue to trace the path of a strong army, rooted in the historical values and ideals that have always guide us. Arci Catanzaro will never only be an association, but a bulwark of justice, freedom and solidarity. My commitment to this land, for our clubs, for our members, will continue, even if in a more secluded position. I will do it with the same passion, with the same heart, with the same belief that Arci represents everything I believe and I want in the world.
To his partner Diana Costanzo, the new president of Arci Catanzaro, I address my most sincere wish for good work. I am sure he will be able to carry on this big family with the heart and the determination it deserves.
To all the clubs, to the presidents, to the members, to those who in recent years has shared the journey with me, my deepest thanks. Thank you for believing in this cause, for having fought with me, for making every little big milestone possible. Your passion is the engine of this association, the reason why it is worth never give up.
A special thought goes to my boys, Alessandro and Andrea. I hope to have managed to convey the value of this battle, the sense of justice, solidarity and peace. I hope I made them proud of what we have done together, always alongside those who struggle for rights, for freedom, for a more right world.
Always with the flag of the arci in one hand and that of Palestine in the other, I will continue to be witness and part of this struggle, because I believe that the change is possible only if we remain united, if we continue to believe in our ideals.
Thanks to those who supported me, to those who believed in me, to those who shared my commitment. We will meet again in the squares, in the streets, in everyday struggles. Always on the front line, always alongside the last, because this is our battle, this is our real victory.
