Ninety -two years, tested by a long illness and by the signs of a tormented life but lived all the way, was the father of Antonino De Masianother anti -mafia entrepreneur who continued his battles and who today is protected, as well as the rest of his family, from the escort of the law enforcement and the Italian army. Giuseppe De Masi leaves four other beloved children – Michele, Sara, Caterina and Graziella and his wife Linaall witnesses and survived a season of intimidation and attacks – and numerous grandchildren.
Peppe De Masi was born in Cittanova, a small center of the Reggio area. Laborer, then mechanical apprentice, Between the late 1950s and the beginning of the sixties, he transformed a small workshop first into a resale of agricultural machines, then in the lighthouse of a technological revolution of agriculture in Calabria and also beyond. Visionary entrepreneur, his machines, over time, were exported even from the Middle East and beyond the Atlantic. He patented and built technologies that allowed to maximize the times, quantity and quality of the crops, especially of the fruits hanging from the trees, protecting the plants and the environment. Integrating man, rigorous in compliance with the rules and contracts, he had a relationship of exceptional intensity both with his children and with employees, absorbed by the various companies that over time constituted a real holding company, which has always been led to work on the net with the institutions and healthy forces of the economy and civil society.
