In fact, the Coast Guard, in collaboration with local authorities, associations and operators in the sector, carries out checks and provides assistance to swimmers and boaters, intensifying the environmental and state police activity, in order to allow the free use of the state maritime state property.
The maritime and environmental police activities, carried out today, focused on URemoval of pleasure that are moored in non -permitted areas and that navigate below cup by placing the safety of bathers at risk, also thanks to invasive structures made with “top” dead and dead bodies in the shoreline. In particular, some irregularities have been detected within the loops created thanks to the frangifutti barriers in the tourist resorts of Ganzirri and Torre Faro which, however, are intended for free use by the current plan of use of the maritime state property approved by the Municipality.

In this case, the patrols on the ground operated together with the staff embarked on the naval units of the Coast Guard, providing for aCncet and verify nine subjects, intent on navigating motor under the coast, mooring in the methods described above and performing dangerous evolutions in the midst of bathers, without any respect for the minimum safety distances.
Those who received the invitation to appear at the offices of the Port Authority of Messina, will have to demonstrate that they have obtained the prescribed state -owned authorizations aimed at the permanent occupation of the water mirror, risking, otherwise, to be defined for the judicial authority for various crimes, by the illegal employment (art. 54 and 1161 of the navigation code) to the insulation of the safety rules on the safety of navigation rules (1231 of the Navigation Code), beyond the dispute of administrative sanctions in violation of the current seaside safety order.
The Environmental Police Unit of the Coast Guard of Messina will continue to be engaged in a constant control campaign on the whole compartment to prevent and repress the offenses mentioned above.
On this occasion, the Coast Guard raises all the users of the beaches to greater attention to the protection of the public good, respecting in particular their destination for free use, hoping for the punctual respect for the seaside safety order to avoid the onset of dangerous situations.
