Matteo Berrettini reached the quarter-finals of the “Erste Bank Open”, an ATP 500 tournament with a total prize pool of 2,736,875 euros, staged on the hard courts of Vienna. The Roman tennis player, number 59 in the world, defeated the British Cameron Norrie, 35th in the international ranking, in the round of 16 with a score of 7-6 (6) 6-7 (9) 6-4. In the tie-break of the second set the blue failed a match point. Having lost the second half, Berrettini then closed the practice in the third and decisive set. In the quarter-finals the Roman will challenge the Australian Alex De Minaur, number 7 in the world and third favorite on the draw. On the pitch today, again in the round of 16, four more Italians.
