The good old costs of politics and the contested practice of omnibus laws: tension is rising at Palazzo Campanella over two measures ready for examination by the Council.
On the expected remuneration of the undersecretaries of the Presidency – a figure just reintroduced by a modification of the statute desired by the majority, the same one that allows the expansion of the Council from 7 to 9 members – the 5 Star Movement shoots zero, which is effectively re-proposing its historic battle. «While Calabria continues to deal with dramatic emergencies in healthcare, transport and essential services, the priority of the majority seems to be to increase the seats and costs of politics», states the group leader in the Regional Council, Elisa Scutellà.
