The new Iranian Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, addressed the nation with a written message “because he is scared, hurt and has no legitimacy”. US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stated this at a press conference. “We don’t even know who’s in charge now,” Hegseth added.
“We know that the so-called, not so supreme, leader is injured and probably disfigured,” Hegseth said, “He issued a statement yesterday but there was no voice or video. It was just a written statement. In Iran there are many cameras and many audio recorders. So why just a written statement? I think you know that.”
«He’s scared. He’s injured. He is on the run and has no legitimacy. It’s a big problem for them”, added Hegseth, “who’s in charge? Iran may not even know it.”
