A 38-year-old was stabbed in the afternoon in Soriano Calabro, in the Preserre area of Vibo. The man, resident in the nearby municipality of Sorianello, was hit in the chest and neck. The dynamics of the event are still to be clarified. The injured man was helped by some people present. He was then transported to Vibo Valentia hospital. His condition is serious.
The police intervened on site and started investigations to reconstruct what happened and trace the motive for the attempted murder. The police are looking for the perpetrator of the gesture who fled immediately after the attack and for the weapon. Investigators are checking every lead, including those that could link the episode to old conflicts. Some family members of the injured man were interviewed in this regard.
