Easter at home in Calabria? At a high price. Planes and trains still skyrocketing

The holidays are back and the theme of expensive tickets comes up again. Calabrians from abroad who want to spend Easter in their homeland, among friends and family, have few opportunities available to avoid spending a fortune. So, between those who spend hours in front of the computer looking for last minute offers and those who decide that, all things considered, Easter can also be celebrated far from Calabria, the topic is always a hot one. And if the laws of the market “control” price fluctuations, the social question remains on the table.
From Milan airports to Lamezia Terme, red band starting from March 26th to April 3rd: according to SkyScanner, for those leaving today and returning to Milan on April 7th, prices vary from 188 euros (flight only) to 533 euros. In the first case, it is a flight that stops in Rome on the outward journey, for a journey duration of approximately 4 hours, and on the return passes through Budapest and Warsaw, bringing the duration to approximately 27 hours in total also considering the time spent in airports abroad. In the second case, it is a direct flight both outward and return. It’s a little better for those who want to leave on April 2nd and return to Lombardy on Easter Monday: costs vary between 140 and 180 euros.
