It is one of the central themes on the list of things to do in the last year and a half of the municipal administration’s mandate. And the municipal structural plan is also ready to be subjected to scrutiny by political bodies, after having passed a long process made up of proposals, drafts, preliminary document, passage in the Chamber and plan conference. In fact it is ready. It was also adapted to the new Pai guidelines, which in recent months had pushed offices and designers to review some aspects. And the deputy mayor with responsibility for urban planning, Giusy Iemma, announced the arrival of the document in the council last September. The plan arrived on the table of the executive led by mayor Nicola Fiorita after the restart of the political-bureaucratic path, following the break for the regional elections last October. In fact, the document is ready to be addressed by commissions and then by the city council. But the council has yet to approve it. Only then will it be possible to take the steps towards adoption in the courtroom, and then be routed towards the final approval phase. Recently the PSC topic was also discussed during a meeting promoted at the regional Citadel by the “Libere Professioni” association, led by the architect Giuseppe Macrì, to discuss the new urban planning law of Calabria and the need to activate rapid and clear authorization processes.
