The costs of politics have long since passed into the cavalry. Yet they are there, every month, to weigh on citizens, forced to pour tears and blood into the coffers of an organization that does not guarantee – data in hand – even all essential services. In reality, a change of direction was glimpsed at the start of the current council. The spending review on the Government and Council seemed to mark a new direction. Instead, from that moment on, we would have witnessed a real reversal of trend.
And the numbers are there to certify that politics not only does not deprive itself of anything, but allows itself the luxury of appointing consultants, even using budget funds, in a municipality subjected to a rigid financial pact with the state, with the aim of avoiding a new collapse. And let’s get to the numbers. In March, the “token mill” of the “Luigi Razza” building, i.e. the hall of the municipal council, forced the organization to come up with over 50 thousand euros. Taking stock of the twelve monthly payments, the city council costs taxpayers over half a million per year.
