Naspi April 2026, when it is paid: consult the possible credit dates
The NASpI payment for April 2026 (INPS unemployment), relating to the monthly salary accrued in March, is being processed. As required by the Institute’s practices, INPS does not adopt a single national calendar: the accreditation times are individual and vary based on the competent territorial office and the management of the individual application.
Forecast for accreditation (April 2026)
Based on the trend of payment flows in previous months, the first disbursements could be arranged:
Between 8 and 15 April 2026.
This is an estimate based on ordinary INPS timing and not an official calendar. To find out the exact value date it is necessary to consult your Citizen’s Social Security File.
NASpI 2026 amounts: official parameters
Based on the annual INPS revaluation circular, the benefit amounts for 2026 have been updated in line with inflation.
- Monthly ceiling 2026: the maximum gross amount that can be paid is approximately 1,584.70 euros.
- Reference threshold: the average monthly reference salary is set at 1,456.72 euros.
Above this threshold, the allowance is calculated by adding 75% of the threshold and 25% of the difference between the average salary and the threshold itself, in compliance with the established ceiling.
Progressive reduction of the amount (decalage)
The amount of NASpI does not remain constant for the entire duration of the service, but is reduced by 3% every month starting from:
- 151st day (6th month) for all beneficiaries;
- 211th day (8th month) for workers who have reached 55 years of age on the date of application.
Regulatory framework: controls and conditions
The regulatory framework remains rigorous in combating evasive behavior in accessing unemployment benefits.
Unjustified absences and de facto resignations
Prolonged absences can lead to termination of the relationship due to “conclusive facts”. In particular:
- notes the limit set by the applied CCNL;
- in the absence of contractual indications, the reference is generally 15 days.
In these cases the requirement for involuntary job loss is no longer met, with consequent exclusion from the NASpI.
Contribution obligation after resignation
Access to the NASpI may be limited in cases where the worker has resigned (or has consensually terminated a permanent relationship) in the 12 months preceding a subsequent involuntary termination. In such situations, the right is recognized only if the worker has accrued at least 13 weeks of contributions between the two events.
Quick Guide: Requirements and Application
Who can request it
NASpI is available to employees who have involuntarily lost their jobs, including:
- dismissed (also for disciplinary reasons);
- workers with expired fixed-term contracts;
- resign for just cause;
- parents who resign during the protected period of maternity or paternity.
Submission deadline and duration
The application must be submitted within 68 days of termination of the relationship. The benefit is paid for a number of weeks equal to half of the contribution weeks of the last four years, up to a maximum of 24 months.
