Tomorrow Reggina will be on the field at the “Granillo”, but the attention and the environment are divided. On one side there will be the team, on the other Corso Garibaldi will become the site of the organized amaranth cheering demonstration.
The first round of the play offs is played against Athletic Palermo. An appendix to the championship that risks being worth zero, considering that overcoming the first obstacle and winning the eventual final guarantees only a remote possibility of repechage. A year ago the conditions for making it were much more concrete, but in the end there was still no place in Serie C for Reggina, winners of the play-offs. There are therefore no conditions for a positive result to compensate for the enormous disappointment of the season. The feeling is that, barring surprises and considering the first feedback, there will be a particularly negative figure from the spectators present.
There is little at stake and the discontent among the fans at the sight of the fourth consecutive year among the amateurs is tangible. This does not change the task of the team, which will try to close the season in the best possible way. The press conference by coach Alfio Torrisi is scheduled for 12pm, from which we will get more information on the general conditions of the group. At best it will be the third to last act of the season. The last would be the possible final with one between Nissa and Gelbison, which the amaranth would access by beating the rosanero in the ninety minutes or drawing after extra time, expected in case of a draw after the final whistle.
