The institutional mission to Brussels of the President of the Calabria Region, Roberto Occhiuto, has concluded, as he took part in a series of meetings with representatives of the European Commission and the European Committee of the Regions on 6 and 7 May.
During the mission, the governor met with the general director of DG Empl, Mario Nava, and Nicola De Michelis, director of the DG Regio Directorate, starting a discussion on the main European instruments in support of regional development, social policies and territorial cohesion.
In particular, President Occhiuto wanted to highlight the actions being examined by the Council in favor of families, to deal with the increased costs resulting from the crisis in the Strait of Hormuz, as well as the policies implementing the housing problem.
During the institutional mission, the governor also had a bilateral meeting with Kata Tüttő, president of the European Committee of the Regions, and participated, as a full member, in the plenary sessions of the Committee scheduled for the two days of work.
