The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, arrived at the Foro Italico, for the final of the 2026 Internazionali d’Italia between Jannik Sinner and Casper Ruud. Also present to watch the match together with the Head of State were Luciano Buonfiglio, president of CONI, Andrea Abodi, minister for Sport and Youth, Matteo Salvini, vice president of the Council of Ministers and minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Angelo Binaghi, president of Fitp, and Paolo Barelli, president of the Italian swimming federation.

The former Italian tennis player is also in the official stands to follow live the final of the 2026 Internazionali d’Italia between Jannik Sinner and Casper Ruud. Panatta, the last Italian winner at the Foro Italico in the men’s singles, a success achieved exactly 50 years ago, in 1976, will reward the winner of today and of the upcoming edition of Roland Garros, scheduled from 24 May to 7 June. Even in Paris the former Italian tennis player triumphed in the glorious 1976, the same year as the first historic Davis Cup won by Italy.
