In recent days, contacts between the Municipality of Vibo Valentia and the Province of Vibo Valentia have intensified, with a constant discussion between administrators and technical offices, with the aim of identifying a shared solution to the age-old issue of the stretch of road between Vibo Marina and Bivona, along the former State Road 522, and without prejudice to the need to reiterate that, at the moment, the competence and ownership of the stretch in question has not been defined for either of the two bodies.
In fact, the ongoing administrative process would lead to the signing of a memorandum of understanding, aimed at a stable collaboration between the two bodies and Ferrovie dello Stato, which has been identified in recent days as the owner of some structures. The common objective of the two bodies is to guarantee the necessary safety conditions until ownership of the road is defined.
The mayor of Vibo Valentia Enzo Romeo and the president of the Province Corrado L’Andolina are carefully following each step, maintaining a continuous dialogue to speed up the conclusion of the process and reach the signing of the protocol.
