The great international dance once again chooses the city of Catania to celebrate its excellence. On June 3rd at 9pm, the historic Bellini Sangiorgi Theater in Catania will be transformed into the setting of the fifth edition of the Dance Excellence Award, one of the most anticipated artistic events.
Among this year’s protagonists Elena D’Amario, internationally acclaimed dancer and choreographer. The artist, among the most influential on the Italian scene, was the principal dancer of the prestigious Parson’s Dance Company in New York for more than ten years and is today a member of its board of directors. Much followed and appreciated both in Italy and abroad, Elena D’Amario will receive recognition this year not only for her incredible talent, but also for the prestige of her artistic career and the contribution she has been able to offer to the world of dance over the years.
A magical evening dedicated to art
Accompanying the audience during this evening dedicated to art will be the soprano Katia Ricciarelli and Sabino Lenoci, director of the international magazine “L’Opera”. The two hosts will be traveling companions for the spectators, in a show full of emotions, enriched by the direction of Alessandra Panzavolta. The permanent director and choreographer of the NCPA (National Center for the Performing Arts) in Beijing will curate the show, ensuring an elegant and quality production for an international event. Created by Vincenzo Macario and Antonio Desiderio, the Award is confirmed as one of the most authoritative awards in the dance sector. To embellish the event, the participation over the years of international figures of absolute prestige, such as Julio Bocca, Oriella Dorella, Vladimir Malakhov, Viviana Durante and Giuseppe Picone.
Catania will host the event for the second consecutive year, after past editions between Noto and Palazzolo Acreide. The event thus consolidates its link with the Sicilian territory, recognizing the value of Sicily’s cultural heritage and its natural vocation to become a stage for the arts. An unmissable event that promises not only to reward the talent of the great protagonists of world dance, but also and above all to enhance discipline and passion, with the aim of inspiring the new generations.
