The Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, will also be there on Friday 5 June in Reggio at the military ceremony for the 212th anniversary of the foundation of the Carabinieri. The Prime Minister’s presence was made official yesterday, through the section of the Prime Minister’s Office website dedicated to Meloni’s agenda.
The ceremony, scheduled for 11 am, will take place in the “Ciccio Franco” arena on the Reggio seafront, which offers a splendid view of the Strait. A celebration – with the deployment of the Departments representing all the components – which this year will have an extra meaning as it marks the 80th anniversary of the Italian Republic. The security measures are imposing, with the city preparing to experience a moment of particular importance at a national level.
On the same days in Rome, precisely from 4 to 7 June, the “Arma Village” will be set up inside Villa Borghese. An opportunity to immerse yourself in history and traditions: there will be stands from all the departments, in an area of approximately 400 metres, up to the Pincio where – at sunset – performances by the Army Band are scheduled. The event will also see the historical re-enactment of the famous Charge of Pastrengo, carried out by the fourth Carabinieri Regiment on horseback.
