Due to the continuation of the celebration ceremony of the 212th Annual Foundation of the Carabinieri in Reggio Calabria, the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, will no longer be able to participate in the EU-Western Balkans Summit, underway in Tivat in Montenegro. President Meloni – as far as we know – personally informed the Montenegrin President Milatovic and the President of the European Council Costa, expressing his regret for the impossibility of reaching the meeting in time, the conclusion of which is scheduled for 3.30 pm.

«All European leaders are in the Balkans discussing the future of Europe and peace in Ukraine. The only absentee: Italy. Giorgia Meloni didn’t go, she says she was late on the plane to Reggio Calabria.” The leader of Italia viva, Matteo Renzi, writes this on X.
