Electoral campaigns, for those involved in politics, are the most exciting moment, like the World Cup for a footballer: you play everything in a few weeks and do everything to lift the coveted trophy at the end of the tournament. But they are also the periods in which, if dust has accumulated in the meantime, those who rush to achieve the result tend to hide it as much as possible under the carpet. The problem is that, at the end of the race, that carpet is no longer there or, in any case, it is no longer sufficient, and the dust comes out.
And this is what is happening, albeit with different intensity and modalities, in almost all parties. Even in the one that won, or even won by a landslide in these elections, the South calls the North. Even the climate that accompanied the day of the election and the following ones is not the same as that which celebrated the victories of the last two rounds and this is demonstrated by the unusual and in some ways difficult to understand silence imposed on all party representatives, with the exception of rare exceptions authorized by the leaders. The feeling, which is much more than a feeling, is that there are many pieces of the puzzle still to be fitted together, boxes that deserve extra attention to be filled without causing “damage”, balances to be handled with care also because, thinking more in perspective, future electoral competitions (regional ones in particular) are further away than the leader Cateno De Luca had hoped.
