The negotiations for the sale of Cosenza now seem to be heading towards their final conclusion. Barring sensational twists, between tomorrow and Tuesday the entrepreneur Vincenzo Rota should issue an official statement in which he will announce his withdrawal from the negotiations for the acquisition of the rossoblù club. The basis of the decision would be the impossibility of finding a meeting point with the current ownership. The economic distances between the parties, in fact, continue to be considered too wide. According to what has transpired, a debt situation estimated at between 6 and 7 million euros would weigh on the table, while president Eugenio Guarascio would continue to ask for a figure close to 10 million for the sale of the company.
In the last few hours there would have been a further attempt at confrontation. Yesterday, in fact, Rota apparently expressed his desire to personally meet Guarascio to delve deeper into some aspects of the operation and verify the possibility of bringing their respective positions closer together. The meeting, however, would not materialize. The rossoblù number one, unable to participate, would have delegated his own lawyer to represent him. A solution that would not have completely convinced the Presilano entrepreneur, who was instead oriented towards a direct confrontation with the president of the club. Hence the decision not to continue further contacts, considering that the conditions necessary to close the deal do not appear to exist.
