Longobucco, intimidation of a city councilor

A serious act of intimidation took place the other night against the farm of city councilor Lara Grillo: unknown persons attempted to set fire to the farm she manages together with her husband, in the hamlet of Manco. On the Council for around 15 years, the entrepreneur is also a representative of a patronage: a well-known personality, very involved in social and political life. It was Grillo herself who filed a complaint at the Carabinieri station. The councilor’s husband noticed what had happened, arriving on site early in the morning.

In front of the gate and in the green area near the fence he would have found some plastic bottles full of flammable liquid. Part of the vegetation near the company perimeter was burnt. Fortunately, the fire remained contained, also because the area around the property had recently been cleaned. A fortune, because dozens of bales of hay are kept in a warehouse adjacent to the stable with several dozen heads of livestock. If the flames had spread, the toll could have been very serious.
