Two young women, two new mothers, united by a passion born years ago on the catwalks. From that meeting the Art Fashion Show was born, a project which today reaches its third edition and which, on Sunday 26 July at 9.30 pm, will return to animate Piazza della Repubblica di Pizzo with an evening dedicated to art, fashion, entertainment and the valorisation of the territory.
The event, sponsored by the Municipality of Pizzo Calabro, is organized by the Pro Loco of Pizzo, chaired by Greta Di Leo, and by the Art Fashion Events APS Association, chaired by Roberta Calafati.
After the success of the first two editions, last year the event stopped for personal reasons. In the meantime, Greta Di Leo and Roberta Calafati have become mothers, a new experience that has changed their lives but not their goals. Indeed, motherhood itself has strengthened the desire to return to organizing an event in which they deeply believe.
«Becoming mothers didn’t stop us. Indeed, it gave us even more strength to believe in our dreams and goals. We want our children to grow up seeing that with commitment, sacrifice and passion they can carry out important projects and do something beautiful for their territory”, says Roberta Calafati, president of Art Fashion Events APS.
The evening will see the participation of the special guest Cartisia Somma, actress of the television series Mare Fuori, the violinist Ivana Comito, the artist Antonella Passantino, the ASD Skorpion, led by Felicetta Currao, the artist Lucia Camillò and numerous protagonists of the Calabrian cultural and artistic panorama, who will contribute to making the event a great show open to all citizens.
One of the most significant moments of the evening will be the awarding of the Aretè Award, an award created to enhance people, professionals, artists, entrepreneurs and associations who, with their talent, commitment and dedication, represent excellence for the territory. The Greek term Aretè in fact means excellence, virtue and realization of one’s best qualities, values that inspire this award and the entire event.
«With the Aretè Prize we want to give voice to the many excellences of our land. Calabria is full of people who every day, often away from the spotlight, stand out for their work, their professionalism and their passion. Our goal is to continue to grow this format year after year, so that it becomes an increasingly important event and a point of reference for the valorization of the talents of our territory.”
Also supporting the event will be the main partners Creo Moda, Manè Clothing & Swimwear, Trésor Gioielli and Mirella Melia, together with the numerous sponsors who have chosen to believe in the project, contributing to the creation of an event that puts culture, entertainment and promotion of the territory at the centre. Art Fashion Show 3.0 thus confirms itself as much more than a simple fashion show: it is a container of art, fashion, music and culture that was created with the aim of enhancing Calabrian excellence, creating visibility opportunities for artists and professionals and promoting a positive image of our land. The appointment is for Sunday 26 July at 9.30 pm in Piazza della Repubblica in Pizzo. Entrance is free.
