He would have harassed and threatened his ex-partner who did not want to return to him. The alleged harassment continued until the woman turned to the officers of the Polistena police station.
At the end of the investigations, the investigating judge of Palmi, at the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, issued a ban on the man under investigation for persecutory acts from approaching the offended person and from residing in the Municipality of Polistena.
The woman’s story and the precautionary measure
The woman told the investigators about the abusive, threatening and violent conduct of which she was the victim. The investigations revealed an absolutely serious picture which led to the application of the precautionary measure. The man was then tracked down by the police in another Calabrian municipality where the precautionary measure was carried out.
The presumption of innocence applies to the suspect until a final sentence is reached.
