Air traffic at Luxembourg airport was briefly disrupted overnight between Friday and Saturday after drones were detected flying over the area without authorization, according to flight tracking platform Flightradar24 which cited an airport alert. “Flight operations at Luxembourg Airport have resumed,” the airport later announced on its website after the suspension. The stop was “a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of passengers, airline crews, airport staff and aircraft”, reads a statement from the airport which did not specify the origin of the drones. The airport said it would continue to monitor the situation and warned of possible delays and disruption to air traffic.
