A new revelation from justice collaborator Marco Ferdico could reopen the case of the murder of Salvatore Lazzaro, shot dead on 12 April 2013 in Savini, in the Sorianello area (Vibo Valentia), as part of the feud that bloodied the Preserre area of Vibo in those years.
Ferdico, questioned by Milan DDA prosecutors Paolo Storari and Stefano Ammendola last June, reported that he had learned from his father-in-law, Pietro Andrea Simoncini, of his alleged participation in a murder that occurred in the Vibonese area. “Simoncini had confessed to me that he had participated in a murder in Soriano where they had shot someone at the window” he told the magistrates.
A previously unpublished circumstance, which investigators have linked to the ambush that cost Lazzaro his life. Ferdico explained that he did not initially know the victim’s name. Subsequently, he said, he would have looked for information and found reference to a person who had been shot while he was at the window. Hence the connection, according to the investigative reconstruction, with the murder of Lazarus.
The collaborator placed his father-in-law’s story between 2013 and 2014 and specified that the alleged confession would have taken place before the murder of Vittorio Boiocchi, the former Inter ultra boss killed in Milan in 2022, an affair in which Simoncini is accused. Ferdico attributed to Simoncini a supporting role in the ambush of Lazzaro.
