A person she was pulled alive from the rubble of the building that collapsed in The Hague after an explosion and fire that caused at least four deaths (and not twenty as Dutch media initially reported). This is what emerges from a new report from the local authorities. “One person was pulled alive from the rubble and transported to hospital,” the firefighters said in a statement.

Rescue workers, however, are still digging through the rubble because it is there is still the risk that there are missing people. However, four people were injured, including a child.

The police are looking for a car which, around 6.15 am, shortly after the explosion that devastated an apartment building in The Hague, “drove away at a very high speed”. “We are looking for witnesses” reads a police post on about who was on board.

The king of Holland, Willem Alexanderand the queen Maxima have expressed their solidarity with those involved in the explosion that caused the collapse of an apartment building in The Hague.
“Our thoughts are with those affected” we read in a post from the royal house on emergency services who are fully engaged in the rescue work.”
