For years now, the lives of young people in Calabria have taken a dangerous turn in history. The social elevator is blocked on the ground floor. Whoever wants to go up must leave. Emigrate to study, to work, to exist. Thus time expands. He stretches in a long wait. When you don’t study, you don’t work, you’re not involved in any social or personal project, it’s as if you enter a black hole in which all of humanity risks getting lost. An existential swamp into which generations of young Calabrians are emerging. And it’s not apathy, it’s not the loss of visions, of relationships. It is the suspension, the wearing wait driven by time which here seems to travel against the flow.
