The Messina KaDedemia season starts in the best way. At Palascifina it exceeds in four sets (3-1) the very young and talented Club Italia in the cup. A balanced match, decided by details and errors in the key moments, where the greatest determination and concreteness of the girls of coach Bonafede make the difference. Dragged by a Super Kenia Carcaces (MVP with 20 points) and by the effective wall of Giulia Viscioni, Messina conquers three precious points in the first seasonal release. After a third subdued set, the Supergirls close with character in the partial fourth. Next Sunday, still within the friendly walls, challenge against Clerici Auto Concorezzo (5 pm).

2nd set (25-21)
The start of the second partial is characterized by a point to point (5-5) phase. To change the rhythm of the set is Messina, thanks to a wall of Viscioni on Susio and the attack of Colombo which is worth +2 (7-5).
Club Italia finds equality (8-8) and there is long rally full of defenses and counterattacks, at the end of which it is the girls of coach Cichello who put the muzzle ahead (8-9). A videocheck delivered equality again and the Messinesi conquer a break thanks to the Ace di Campagnolo.
It seems to witness the initial phase of the set, in which it reigned balance between the two formations. Coach Bonafede tries to change the construction of the game by replacing Milanova with Rizzieri; Club Italia also changes, inserting the spati-caruso diagonal.
The two teams continue to fight (19-19). Viscioni tries to tow his team by finding a very important break. Felappi enters the service and the pressure in the Club Italia field begins to be heard, especially after Zojzi’s attack, which brings Messina to +2 (23-21).

It is a Club Italia initially absent: the points conquered so far derive mostly from Messina errors. This forces Coach Cichello to call the first time out and to change the diagonal (8-3). Tosini and Solovei conquer a break and try to shorten, but in the Messina field everything works: Carcaces and companions find +5 (13-8).

The girls of coach Cichello, however, want to bring the challenge to the fifth set and, thanks to an excellent Susio, find +3 (3-6). Landucci’s wall and the shift at the Rizzieri service report the set in balance again (6-6).
Messina must now give her best to close the accounts. Both teams rely very on their opposite and equality remains (12-12).
The Messinese break signed by Captain Kenia Carcaces (15-13) arrives, who drags his team until +4 (18-14), inducing Club Italia to the first time out.
Double change for coach Cichello and the distances halve up to -1 for Club Italia (20-19). An error in attack by Caruso Porta Messina a +3 (22-19) and the Bovolenta wall does not intimidate the crusher from Messina Zojzi.
