The Parish of Mary Immaculate in Saint Calogero (VV) and the Parish Priests Mons. Rocco Scaturchio and Don Andrea Campennì they intend to report the event that will see the youth of the Parish as protagonists. “GOD’S INFLUENCER – Carlo Acutis, the Musical” is a musical written and directed by the youth of the Oratory Parish in San Calogero di Santa Paola Frassinetti. Musical written by the youth Francesco Romano and Francesco Paolo De Vita.
The first musical in Italy about the person and life of the now “soon-to-be saint” Carlo Acutis, and will be performed on Saturday 27 July at 9.30 pm, in San Calogero (VV). At the House of Culture. This wonderful project that starts right from San Calogero, has involved important musicians and artists from the national territory, who have committed themselves to young people and have agreed to spend themselves in this work. The protagonists will be the young people of the parish oratory who will perform in San Calogero on 27 and 28 July 2024 for the first time in Italy. With this musical we want to send a strong message: everyone must be themselves, original and not a photocopy. In this regard, we invite young people not to let their hope and joy be stolen, not to let it be narcotized to use it as a slave to interests. We must be more: what God, the Creator, knows that each one is, if we recognize that we are called to much, guided by the Holy Spirit and walking with confidence towards the great goal of holiness. Only in this way are we not a photocopy, but we are fully ourselves. From the House of Culture of San Calogero, a property confiscated from the mafia, may our cry reach all the lonely, desperate, marginalized young people, so that by looking at this figure, Carlo Acutis, they may feel his company because no one is alone. Being a completely new work, like every work that starts from scratch, during the journey we find ourselves faced with moments of discouragement and uncertainty regarding the logistical issue. However, it must be said that we did not have time to be discouraged, because new horizons immediately opened up. In fact, collaborations arrived from people we never thought could help us personally, given the popularity on television that each one has.

As we have already said, the entire Musical is an unpublished work and therefore there are also unpublished musical compositions, prepared specifically for this musical.
