Scheduled maintenance interventions continue on the A2 “Autostrada del Mediterraneo”, in the province of Cosenza, by Anas. The works, aimed at resurfacing the road, will entail some temporary restrictions on traffic on Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th October 2025.
In detail, tomorrow, Tuesday 14 October, in the time slot between 9:00 and 22:00, the entrance and exit ramps on the southern carriageway of the Sibari–Firmo junction (km 210.100) will be closed.
The following day, Wednesday 15 October, again from 9:00 to 22:00, the closure will concern the entrance and exit ramps on the northern carriageway of the same junction (km 210,700).
Alternatives for motorists
During the closures, vehicles going to or coming from Sibari–Firmo will be able to use alternative routes.
For those traveling north, it will be possible to exit at the Altomonte junction (km 216.300), take the SP131 towards San Lorenzo del Vallo and then the SP174 towards Firmo–Sibari.
For those proceeding in a southerly direction, you can always use the Altomonte junction (km 215.800), following the same alternative itinerary via provincial roads 131 and 174.
Anas recommends motorists to be careful when driving and to pay attention to the temporary signs present along the stretch affected by the works, which aim to improve the safety and comfort of traveling on the important artery of the South.
