The man believed to be responsible for the violent aggression that took place on Easter morning against two ecological operators was identified and denounced by the carabinieri, intent on carrying out his service in the Tonnara locality of the Municipality of Palmi.
According to what was reconstructed by the military, the two nits were engaged in the collection of bulky waste when a man, with two black bags in his hand presumably contained undifferentiated waste, would have approached by demanding that they were withdrawn. At the refusal of the operators, who were following the directives provided for by the municipal service, the man would have reacted in an disproportionate way, hitting them with slaps and pushes. Once on the ground, one of the two would have been further attacked with kicks, punches and even with objects found on the spot, including a pan.
To avoid worse consequences, it was the intervention of some present who managed to block the attacker. Immediately after the episode, the carabinieri went to work to collect testimonies and clues, quickly squeezing the circle around a man residing in the area. At the end of the investigations, the complaint was taken to the judicial authority for aggravated personal injury.
