Novak Djokovic arrives in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open, the first Slam season underway on the concrete fields of Melbourne Park. The former number 1 in the world had the better of the round of 16 on the Czech Jirí Lehecka in three sets. Djokovic won the first two by 6-3, 6-4 and closed the accounts in the third at the Tie-break by 7-6 (4). Novak equaled the 15-quarter final primacy of Roger Fedeer and Jiri Lehecka’s Australian Open. On the quarterfinals the challenge with the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz who won the comparison with Jack Draper, forced to retire when he was below 7-5, 5-1, for hip problems
