Blitz by the traffic policecommanded by Giovanni Giardina, this morning at the Strait Autodrome, a little gem dedicated to radio-controlled car racing which even hosted a world championship in 2005. The plant, as shown by the images, has been transformed into an open-air landfill and probably in a homeless shelter. Built in the eighties and managed by private individuals but on a concession paid by the Municipality to the state property, it constituted a small heritage and attracted hundreds of enthusiasts to the Strait. Then 12 years ago the abandonment and the continuous promises of restoration were unfulfilled and now only oblivion. The police have for now cordoned off the entire area awaiting a probable judicial seizure.
