A building permit for a conservative renovation intervention It would have been used for a demolition created in violation of the urban and landscape constraints that regulate the historic center of Barcelona. The building, located in via Roma at the Civici 96 and 98, had been built in the early 1900s, immediately after the road axis, and was located near the Liberty cottage. The property, known in the city for hosting the ancient telephone switchboard of the city, was razed to the ground on Friday afternoon, with an excavator, which came into operation shortly after 3 pm. The abatement would have occurred in the absence of authorization to close the vehicular traffic along the Via Roma, leaving the signs of the straps on the road surface visible.
