The Municipality of Botricello has acquired the building abandoned for over forty years and built in the area intended for economic and popular construction. It is a reinforced concrete skeleton that should have become a property with apartments for poor families and which now represents a serious danger for public safety.
The property in via Berlinguer is the result of an agreement with the right of superfix entrusted to a construction company with an act of 1980 and subsequent conventions of 1981
The building consists of two levels above ground with a concrete structure that presents itself in poor condition, strongly worn and deteriorated after decades of neglect. This condition highlighted the local police and the municipal technical office with special minutes and inspections, further compromises the property by creating serious dangers for public safety.
The mayor Saverio Simone PucciOr he highlighted that “the property has been acquired to guarantee the safety of the population, but also with the aim of recovering a highly degraded area and on which other investments are already underway. After more than forty years we put an end to an long -standing question. The goal – added the mayor – is to propose a urban regeneration project that can concern the entire area 167, through a uniform project that takes into account the need to improve the entire neighborhood”.
Puccio underlined the work carried out by the municipal offices involved in the affair, adding that in the next few days the property will be placed safely.
