A glimmer of light in the tragedy. Breath of relief for the 7 year old girl who last November 27th she had fallen from the balcony of the family home, managed by the Ualsi Foundation, in which she lived together with her mother and her two brothers, aged 6 years and 7 months respectively. The little girl’s life is no longer in danger, her condition has improved and, after an eleven-day stay in the intensive care unit of the Catanzaro hospital, she was transferred to the pediatric department.
An improvement that unfortunately the mother will not be able to rejoice in, because the young 30-year-old woman took her own life, falling from the fifth floor of the Catanzaro hospital. Struck by deep desperation, she couldn’t handle the pain of the little girl’s fall and threw herself into the voidprobably believing that his little daughter’s fate was already sealed. A tragedy within a tragedy had been defined, an event that had profoundly shaken the communities of Botricello and Sersale, his town of origin.
