The failure to implement the law that should guarantee support for Calabrian construction companies becomes a political case. The regional councilors Davide Tavernise (M5S)Dominic Bevacqua (Pd) and Antonio The Slave (Mixed group) intervene, after the report published yesterday by this newspaper, to ask «the president of the regional council, Roberto Occhiutoto clarify the reasons for this delay, which continues to penalize the Calabrian construction sector”.
«The law – continue the three group leaders -, approved with the aim of supporting companies in crisis, provides for the compensation of tax credits through regional public economic bodies such as Sacal and the Single Reclamation Consortium, in addition to the companies they participate in. The measure should have alleviated the difficulties of those companies which, having applied the discount on the invoice and accrued tax credits, struggle to monetise them due to the congestion of the credit transfer system”.
Tavernise, Bevacqua and Lo Schiavo agree with Simone Celebre, secretary of Fillea Cgil Calabria, who asks for the creation of an online platform to monitor credit transfers. «Even on this request – explain the three regional councilors – the Region has not provided concrete answers. The critical situation has pushed many companies in difficulty to sell their credits at negligible prices, in a market where speculation often prevails.”
