The Councilor for Agriculture of the Calabria Region, Gianluca Gallo, informs that the Calabria Region Agency for agricultural payments (Arcea) has liquidated over 36.5 million euros in favor of Calabrian farmers.
This is an annual premium per hectare provided for by Measure 13 of the Calabria RDP which supports the continuation of agriculture in areas subject to natural constraints or disadvantages and in mountain areas, allowing continuity in the provision of ecosystem and landscape services provided by agriculture in these areas (soil quality, fire risk reduction, hydrogeological risk reduction, protection of biodiversity and the agricultural landscape).
