Sparks still flying in Calabria over differentiated autonomy. A speech by the former president of the regional council set the fuse alight Mimmo Tallini, historic exponent of the Calabrese centre-right, who essentially struck against the dilatory attitude of the majority in the Region, defined as “political suicide”, and also criticised the steps of the presidents Roberto Occhiuto And Philip Mancuso.
Reserves, those reserved by Tallini for his coalition allies, useful to the PD to insinuate and reiterate the “contradictions” present in the Calabrian center-right. “The Calabrian center-right – the Democrats claim – continues to cover itself in ridicule. The way in which governor Occhiuto and his majority have addressed, from the very beginning, the reform relating to differentiated autonomy has been wrong and ambiguous since the governor’s first yes to the State-Regions Conference. But the height of ridicule was reached with the proclamations and criticisms in the press and on social media of Calderoli’s project, to then endorse it with concrete actions. And even going so far as to prevent the discussion on the issue in the Regional Council and the debate on the PPA on the abrogative referendum that, as the opposition, we have filed for some time”.
